    Ecosprin is a Non Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) used to treat pain, reduce fever, inflammation, prevent blood clots and heart attacks. It contains Aspirin and comes in tablets of types of 75 mg, 150 mg, and 325 mg. Ecosprin is also used for the relief of the signs and symptoms of Rheumatoid arthritis, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Arthritis.

Ecosprin tablets are principally used to prevent blood clots formation after a heart attack in a patient with the severe conditions or to help prevent heart attacks and strokes in patients. It also comprises of analgesic properties and can be used in the treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever. Beside preventing blood clots, the medicine also helps in relieving pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The main component of Ecosprin is Aspirin, which has the active ingredient Acetylsalicylic Acid (ASA). It has anticoagulant properties which can be used to treat conditions related to heart health such as Myocardial Infarction, Refractory Ischemia by encouraging smooth blood flow in patients. It is also used in treating basic inflammation and headache.

    Ecosprin Tablets Dosage:

    A patient must take this medicine exactly as advised by the doctor or follow all directions on the product package. The dosage and course of the recommended medical treatment are based on your medical condition and response to treatment. To get a positive outcome of Ecosprin tablet, patients should consume the medicine in regular amounts. Ecosprin tablets of 75mg should be swallowed whole with a drink of water. Do not cut, crush or chew the tablet as it will release all of the drugs at once, increasing the risk of side effects. (3) Do not lie down for at least 10 minutes after taking this drug. If stomach upset occurs after taking this medication, you may take it after eating a meal. (4) Patients who are suffering from any sort of liver diseases and patients under the age of 10 years or less are advised not to take this drug. For adults and children over 16 years of age, the normal dose for long term use is one to two tablets daily. The average adult dose of Ecosprin is 300-600 mg every 3 to 4 hours and the maximum dose for adults of Ecosprin is 3600 mg per day. (5) In some circumstances of serious conditions, a higher dose may be recommended. During, pain, swelling, fever, and acute rheumatic disorders patients may be advised to take up to 300 mg tablets three or four times a day. For prevention of heart attack or mini-stroke, the usual dose is one or two 75 mg tablets per day. The required dose for prevention of myocardial infarction or heart attack is 75-325 mg/day and for pain and fever, the dose is 325 to 650 mg after 4 to 6 hours or maximum 4g/day. (6) Daily use of NSAIDs can also decrease Ecosprin’s ability to prevent heart attack or stroke. If you are taking this medication as needed, remember that pain medications work best if they are taken as the first signs of pain occur. If you wait until the pain has worsened, the medicine may not work as effectively. 

    Ecosprin Tablets Dosage

    If you have skipped a dose do not compensate it by taking two doses together next time, doing this can prove to be harmful and certain side effects can be seen in the patient. It is advisable to skip that dose, if it is already time for the next dose. Do not take two doses at the same time as it can be dangerous to your health.

    In case of an accidental overdose, immediately report to your doctor and seek immediate medical attention. Do not stop the regular dosage of Ecosprin unless instructed by the doctor. You should not take Ecosprin for self-treatment of pain for more than 10 days. The medication of Ecosprin is not recommended for pregnant women. Ecosprin Tablets prevents blood platelets from sticking together which decreases the formation of harmful blood clots. This reduces the chances of heart attack or stroke. It withholds Cyclooxygenase and reduces Thromboxane A2 which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandin. The medication also inhibits platelet aggregation which reduces symptoms associated with inflammation.

    • BreastfeedingEcosprin 75 Tablet is probably unsafe to use during the lactation period. The drug causes significant risk to the baby as he/she takes milk from the baby. Ecosprin is only be prescribed for nursing mothers only under medical supervision. 
    • Driving:Although this is a rare side effect, Ecosprin Tablet may cause you dizziness and affect your vision. Do not drive until the effects of the drug are over. 
    • Allergy: Ecosprin should be avoided if the patient is allergic to aspirin or other NSAIDs. If you are allergic to any drugs, foods, or other substances, it is important to inform your doctor about allergies and the signs you are experiencing before you start with the dosage regime including Ecosprin 75 tablet.
