How to Get Pregnant Fast - Learn the Number of Times You need to have Sex

    • 4.6   (10 Votes)

If you want to increase your chances of getting pregnant and learn how to get pregnant fast, then you need to make sure that perform sex as per your ovulation cycle. Ideally, you should have sex between 11 - 14 day of your menstrual cycle to get pregnant faster. But you can also have sex in your non-fertile phase of cycle to increase chances of getting pregnant.

Many couples believe that they can get pregnant just by tossing away the contraceptives. However, the real journey for most couples is far too longer than just a week or month post shunning away from birth control pills. (1)

So, when you have already taken a plunge to start a family, the next question that naturally pops up in mind is how often you should have sex for attaining pregnancy. You start wondering about having too much to more than enough and soon the sexbecomes more of a fearful activity than a fun ride. (2)

'When to have sex to get pregnant' is one of the most important questions for most couples who are planning or trying to conceive. To this question, the most common answer you will hear from friends is to have intercourse every other day. However, this is not completely correct. There are several factors which affect fertility and the decision of frequency. Below we have tried listing most of them:

1- Sperm Count:For making conception to happen, at least 20 million parts per milliliter is required. Although the chances are high when it is between 40 to 50-million/ ml. If your partner has low sperm count then you have to ensure when to have sex when he has enough sperm concentration for pregnancy to happen. Give him at least a day in between ejaculations. You can also go for semen analysis to know about the sperm count. (3)

    Healthy Sperm

2- Sperm Health:The best way of maintaining sperm healthy is by ejaculating it in every two to three days. Your partner’s sperm count will definitely rise if he doesn't ejaculate for more than two to three days but it will also increase the proportion of immotile, dead or morphologically abnormal sperm. (4)

Which is the most fertile day? Day 14?

You might have heard the ovulation day is 14 day of the cycle. Many of the women end up having sex on day 11, 12, 13 for making sure that it will give them the best opportunity for conception. But there are chances of being wrong too. Many of them don't ovulate on the 14th day. The ovulation can also take place as early as Day 10 or as late as Day 20. Ovulation can also get late if cycles are not regular. You can use the OVO fertility App to accurately determine your ovulation day. (5)

Having intercourse during the fertile window provides 25% chances of conceiving. Indulging in it every other day might lower the chances of up to 22%. And having sex just once in a week automatically drops the chances of conception to 10%. The best way of tracking the fertile window is by using the OVO fertility app & tracking cervical mucus, charting the basal body temperature on the App. And if you are unable to track the fertility window or don't want to do it, and then get into the activity every next day all month long. It might guarantee you to have sex during the peak of your fertile window. (9) (10)

1- Sex in your non-fertile window

Many of you will think that there will be no chances of getting pregnant during the non-fertile window. But to your shock, it actually does! In a recent study, it was shown that a woman's immune system changes due to regular sex and improves the chances of conceiving. (6)

2- Make up your mood ladies!!

You must have noticed when your libido is stronger in the month. Just before the ovulation, the same hormones increase the desire for sex. Though sex mood doesn't guarantee the ovulation sign it is an easy way to stay attentive. (7)

Every couple has a different approach. Some couples will simply stop preventing pregnancy and have sex regularly. Then they wait for the next step. While others may want to conceive quickly and will start tracking the ovulation, will schedule how to have sex during their most fertile phase and will try hard to conceive. No approach is wrong and you might change how to do sex for achieving conception with time. (8)

So, now you have come to know regarding the frequency of sex which will help you to get pregnant. If you want to further increase the chances of getting pregnant, then you need to know the Best sex positions To Get Pregnant. Also, you can explore types of birth control and its effectiveness.
