How to find out the Most Fertile Days to Plan Pregnancy?

You can easily find out the most fertile days to plan pregnancy with ovulation tracker, calculating fertility days, checking Basal Body Temperature (BBT), observing vaginal discharge, and noting other physical signs. The fertile period of a woman usually starts after 10-12 days of the 28 day cycle.

If you are planning a pregnancy or planning to try to conceive, it is very important to know the days when you are most fertile and can increase the chances of getting pregnant. Your most fertile days or your fertility days are the days between the 8th day of your menstrual cycle to the 19th day of the same consistent cycle. (1) Having sex during your fertile period or fertility period that increases your chances of conception and thereby getting pregnant or conceiving. 1. Keep track of your ovulation:

You are most fertile or your fertility is at its peak five days before ovulation and the two days after ovulation. To know when you are ovulating, it is very important to keep track of your menstrual cycle and periods or menses for at least two to three months at a stretch. (4)

To keep a tab on your basal body temperature, measure it with the BBT thermometer during your fertile days, every morning before getting out of bed.

4. Check vaginal discharge:

Ovulation days may lead to some physiological changes, (9) like a lame ache in one side of the abdomen, spotting or tenderness in the breasts. These could be excellent signs to predict your fertile or the ovulation period and try for conception to get pregnant soon. (10)
